AI assistants and tools
I build AI assistants and small tools fitted to a person or a business: answering customer questions, taking care of paperwork, or doing a job your team repeats every week. Nothing flashy — set up properly, around what you actually do.
The Fault Finder on this site is one I built: it asks about your problem, can read a photo, and books the job in. Try it — that's the sort of thing I mean.

What this can look like
Answering customer questions
An assistant on your website that knows your services, prices and opening hours, answers the way you would, and passes the enquiry on to you.
Paperwork and admin
Drafting quotes and replies, summarising long email threads, and tidying up documents, so the slow bits of the week take minutes.
Your own documents
An assistant that looks things up in your manuals, price lists and past jobs before it answers, instead of guessing.
Repetitive jobs
Small tools for the tasks you do over and over: sorting files, renaming photos, moving things between spreadsheets and systems.
Private, local setups
AI that runs on your own computer, so sensitive files never leave the building. Useful where client confidentiality matters.
Honest advice first
If an off-the-shelf tool like ChatGPT or Copilot already covers what you need, I'll say so and show you how to use it well.
The machine behind it
AI doesn't have to mean someone else's cloud. This is my own dual-GPU machine, built for running models locally.

Priced to the job
There's no fixed package, because no two of these are the same. A small tool might be a one-off job; an assistant that's part of how you work usually needs a bit of looking after. Tell me what you're trying to do and I'll talk you through what's sensible and what it would cost — including when the honest answer is that you don't need it.
Questions
Is my data safe?
It depends on the setup, and I'll tell you plainly what goes where before anything is built. Where it matters, I can set things up to run locally so your files stay on your own machines.
Do I need new equipment?
Usually not. Most assistants run as part of your website or the tools you already use. Running AI locally needs a reasonably capable PC — which I can build if you want one.
I'm not sure what I'd use it for
That's fine. Tell me how a normal week looks and I'll point out where it would help — and where it wouldn't. No obligation either way.
