What I can help with
Windows laptops and PCs from any maker, plus Linux machines. Some Mac work too, so just ask.
Won't turn on
No lights, no fans, or it starts and then cuts out.
Slow or freezing
Takes ages to start, programs hang, or it's got slower over time.
Error screens
Blue screens, Windows Recovery, or a message you can't get past.
Hot, loud or shutting off
Dust and dried-out thermal paste. A clean and repaste usually sorts it.
Screen, keyboard or battery
Cracked screens, missing keys, and batteries that no longer hold charge.
Viruses and pop-ups
Infections, browser hijacks and fake warnings cleared out.
Wi-Fi problems
Dropping out, weak signal in parts of the house, or one device that won't connect.
Drops, spills and other damage
I'll look at any damage and tell you honestly if it's worth fixing. If a spill has killed the motherboard, I replace it rather than repair it.
What it costs
£60 to find the fault, which comes off the bill if you go ahead. Then £80 per hour plus parts, and most jobs can be done within an hour. The cost is confirmed with you before I start.

Is it worth fixing?
I'll tell you. If a repair would cost more than the computer is worth, I'll say so and explain the options.
Will I lose my files?
Most repairs don't touch your files. If a job might, I'll tell you first so we can back them up.
How long will it take?
Most jobs can be done within an hour of work. I'll tell you when it will be ready when I confirm the price.
Can you collect it?
Yes. Collection and return is free anywhere in the area I cover.
